Commodity Export facilitation Bureau –CEFAB was the practical export arm of the Institute established to cater for the need of the members who wish to export Agro-allied, Manufactured and Solid Mineral Products from Nigeria. CIECOBON therefore has developed relationship between the producers and Off- takers of exportable Commodities to make it easier for Nigerian Commodities to be exported outside the Shore of Nigeria, Many of our members after participating either in the long or short courses, have the ambition to be successful exporters. Therefore it is the responsibility of CEFAB to organize such business link for such members.

The Bureau is educating on various credit facilities made available to exporters, farmers, manufacturers etc to assist them with their various businesses by the Federal Government through the agencies.

The first step in Export business is to register with Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) as a Nigerian Exporters, the Bureau could facilitate the registration of any members interested in starting export business with Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C) and Nigeria Export promotion Council (N.E.P.C). Nigeria who wishes to go into large scale manufacturing for Exportable products could also approach Nigerian Export Processing Zone Authority (NEPZA) for land which could be gladly approved by NEPZA for such project.

Members who wish to import raw materials for their production or any auxiliary goods may also be assisted to make them more comfortable in this there line of business.

The following Commodities may be exported by Members Gum

Arabic, Dried Split ginger, groundnut/Peanut, Sesame Seed, Chilly Pepper, Dried/Raw Cashew nuts, Hibiscus flower, Hibiscus Sifting, Tiger nuts, walnuts, Almond bat, Charcoal, garlic, cow horn, Turmeric, Nutmeg, Dried Kolanut, Bitter Kolanuts, Cocoa Products, Palm Products Shea Butter etc.

Any intending Exporters, Merchants or brokers must be sure of regular Source of the Commodities. As we know that the buyer of such commodity, needed it for one production or the other, any stoppage or delay in regular supply would affect the production of such end products.

It is therefore our candid opinion that people going into export should be able to pick up at least one full container at any giving time.

The Bureau could also register members with Commodity Brokers Association of Nigerian (CBAN) to enable them practice Professionally at Abuja Commodity Exchange after their qualification with CIECOBON.
